Sea Shepherd Chapter Coordinator- DARWIN NT

As a Sea Shepherd Chapter Coordinator, you will be the driving force behind your local chapter, helping build a strong community of volunteers who are passionate about defending, conserving, and protecting the ocean.This is a leadership role suited to someone who is highly motivated, organised, and committed to the protection of marine wildlife and habitats. You’ll work alongside a national network of volunteers and staff to inspire action and support our mission through outreach, events, fundraising, and education. Key Duties
- Lead your local volunteer team and foster a positive and inclusive chapter culture
- Organise and attend local events, including stalls, beach clean-ups, fundraisers, and education initiatives
- Coordinate local meetings and communication with your volunteer base
- Represent Sea Shepherd in the community and build partnerships with local groups and businesses
- Manage chapter logistics such as merchandise stock, equipment, and event bookings
- Submit reports and updates to the national team on chapter activity
- Welcome new volunteers with support from our national team
Skills and Experience

Strong leadership and communication skills

Comfortable coordinating others and working both independently and collaboratively

Experience in community organising, events, or volunteer coordination (desirable but not essential)
