As a Sea Shepherd Chapter Coordinator, you will be the driving force behind your local chapter, helping build a strong community of volunteers who are passionate about defending, conserving, and protecting the ocean.This is a leadership role suited to someone who is highly motivated, organised, and committed to the protection of marine wildlife and habitats. You’ll work alongside a national network of volunteers and staff to inspire action and support our mission through outreach, events, fundraising, and education. Key Duties

  • Lead your local volunteer team and foster a positive and inclusive chapter culture
  • Organise and attend local events, including stalls, beach clean-ups, fundraisers, and education initiatives
  • Coordinate local meetings and communication with your volunteer base
  • Represent Sea Shepherd in the community and build partnerships with local groups and businesses
  • Manage chapter logistics such as merchandise stock, equipment, and event bookings
  • Submit reports and updates to the national team on chapter activity
  • Welcome new volunteers with support from our national team

Skills and Experience

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Organised and reliable, with good time management

  • Comfortable coordinating others and working both independently and collaboratively

  • Experience in community organising, events, or volunteer coordination (desirable but not essential)

  • Passionate about marine conservation and aligned with Sea Shepherd’s mission and values
