Community Social Volunteer (English roots & cards), HammondCare, South Bowenfels

We are seeking a friendly and caring social volunteer to provide weekly face-to-face visits to an Elderly client living at home.

Originally from England and having moved to Australia in the 1970's, this client has a deep passion for family, navigating life with some vision impairment and loves a game of cards. Very much a social person, member of local clubs and would benefit from ongoing social visits and conversations, as she is adjusting to life after the passing of her husband.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
