The Yeronga State High School English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) Program supports the English language development of students who have come from language backgrounds other than English.

Our 'English as an Additional Language or Dialect' Unit requires volunteers to provide support in the classroom on a one-on-one basis to assist students in understanding maths and numeracy concepts. We thank you for your application.

Skills required: Proficiency in high school maths

Volunteer characteristics: Help individual ESL students in the classroom, following teacher's instruction. Ability to work with young people, good communication skills

Skills gained: The satisfaction of helping young people learn, the improving of your tutoring skills and the enjoyment of working in a supportive and multicultural educational environment.
