Sizzle Captain

Sizzle Captain – Bunnings BBQ Volunteer Role Do you love the smell of sausages in the morning? Are you a people person with a knack for organisation? We’re looking for a Volunteer Sizzle Captain to lead our Bunnings BBQ fundraising stalls 1–2 times a month (usually on weekends).

Key Duties • Coordinate BBQ stall logistics (bookings, setup, packdown) • Rostering and communicating with volunteer teams • Purchase food and supplies in advance • Lead the BBQ on the day—cooking, serving, cash handling, and ensuring a smooth, safe and friendly operation

Skills & Experience Needed • Great communication and organisational skills • Ability to lead a team and problem-solve on the go • Comfortable handling money and food safely • Previous event, retail or hospitality experience is helpful, but not essential • Must be reliable, friendly and enthusiastic (a good sausage flip is optional, but impressive)
