About the Role
The Webmaster role ensures LCH’s digital platforms run seamlessly while advancing our mission to create meaningful social impact. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing IT systems, the website, email server, social media platforms, and audiovisual content, ensuring their efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and enhance IT systems, website, email server, social media platforms, and audiovisual content.
• Develop and implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect organizational assets.
• Conduct cybersecurity training for the Executive Committee to raise awareness and preparedness.
• Identify and integrate cost-effective, innovative technologies that support LCH’s activities, with a focus on non-profit-friendly tools.
• Collaborate with the Chief Editor, Public Relations Officer, Membership Coordinator, and senior leadership to align digital strategies with organizational priorities.
What We Look For
• An experienced professional with a genuine interest in non-profit organizations and a connection to the Hispanic community in Australia.
• A commitment of at least 12 months and an average of 5 hours weekly to support LCH’s mission effectively.
• A blend of technical proficiency, creativity, and organizational skills, including web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS like WordPress), SEO, and cybersecurity.
• The position also involves content creation, managing multimedia, and integrating social media platforms with unified content.
• Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with team members and explaining technical aspects to non-technical colleagues.
• Project and time management, adaptability, and a deep understanding of the organization’s mission to enhance community outreach and engagement.
• Bilingual Proficiency (English & Spanish) will be an advantage, but not essential to fulfilling this role.
