The Role: In your volunteer role you will be paired with an aging senior to provide them regular social support visits in their home. Activities during your visit are based on yours and your clients interests and could include conversation, playing cards, listening to music or sharing stories. Get to know someone new and make a difference in your local community!
Our Client: This male in his mid 80's would be grateful for weekly visits from a volunteer for social connection. Born in Croatia, he is seeking a volunteer that speaks or is learning to speak Croation. He enjoys discussing sports, especially soccer and listening to the radio. He would appreciate having a coffee and playing some cards with you!

About You:
- Lives in and around North Geelong or is happy to travel.
- Preferably speaks or is learning Croation.
- Possess clear communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient and an excellent listener.
- Passionate about giving back to your community.
- Conducts yourself with open-mindedness and respect, ensuring the privacy, confidentiality, and dignity of our clients is always maintained.
- Comfortable using technology to provide feedback and connect with the Volunteer Program.
- Availability for a flexible six-month commitment.
