Op Shop and Nursery Volunteers

At Open Door Community Care, we have ongoing opportunities for volunteers. We would love to empower you to use your current skills and learn new ones.

In the plant nursery located in the laneway next to the op shop, you may be responsible for plant care, stock replenishing, sales, cleaning and more.

In the op shop, there are countless roles to take on - become a dedicated sorter out the back; sit and price items (ideal for those who have mobility challenges); work on the shop floor and interact with customers; specialise in a department such as books, craft or clothing; or help with general cleaning and maintenance issues.

You must be willing to learn and work in a team, accountable to the 'Day Leader' and Op Shop Manager.
