Delivery Driver

POSITION DESCRIPTION: - Meal Delivery - Volunteer PURPOSE OF POSITION: - To deliver meals to clients of Meals on Wheel Fraser Community Inc. RESPONSIBLE TO: - The Manager/Assistant Manager/ Volunteer Co-ordinator DUTIES: - • Work alone or with a partner to cheerfully deliver meals to individual clients • Check the Run sheet and meal labels to ensure that the correct meals are delivered to the client • Take messages from clients and record them on the run sheet and inform Client Service Managers, so that they can follow up • Report any clients that are not home or do not answer the door to receive their meal to the Client Service Managers for follow-up • Other duties as requested by The Manager or Volunteer Co-ordinator • Sign on and off in the attendance book, record your temperature and QR Code check in • Complete all training as required • Always conduct yourself accordance with the Code of Conduct, MOWFC Policies and Procedures, and Aged Care Standards HOURS: - 5 to 15 hours per week SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: -
• Empathy with the frail elderly and people with disabilities • Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating to achieve outcomes • Ability to relate to people without discrimination – i.e. a tolerance for varied lifestyles and cultures • A caring attitude which results in treating others with honesty and respect • Have an understanding of the importance of communication • Trustworthiness and the ability to treat information with confidentiality • Ability to assess a clients’ health requirements and to pass on any deterioration in the clients’ condition • Cheerfulness and flexibility along with reliability and commitment • Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices • Understanding of special dietary requirements • Current 'C' class driver's licence together with a safe driving record, and your own vehicle
