Board Member - Treasurer Food Relief Charity

The Outpost is run off the dedication of volunteers as a not-for-profit charity and is in a period of rebirth with a passionate Board and lots to achieve.
We are seeking a like-minded finance professional who has an interest in offering; • Financial guidance to the organisation to support the homeless and food insecure • Practical bookkeeping and payroll support to the organisation in partnership with professional services • Knowledge of grants and reporting is desirable • A passion to contribute to ensuring that those in need receive dignity and choice through the food and service The Outpost provides. • Ability to produce and present monthly financial reports

Experience on a Board is not essential, it’s all about leaning in to use your experience to support those we serve in our community, sharing wisdom, communication, a can do attitude and a willingness to deliver as a collective.

We are an operational Board, hands on and willing to roll up our sleeves in the service of others to ensure that the outpost operations continue 365 days per year. Experience in the finance industry as an accountant, bookkeeper, advisor is essential. An interest in maintaining and building financial sustainability into the future with those we serve at the centre is a must!

At the Outpost every financial decision is measured on the cost it takes to produce a meal – $2.37.
