Friendship Companion Volunteer for Graham in Cockatoo

Older gentleman Graham would love a friend to have a coffee and a chat with. He lives in Cockatoo and is feeling socially isolated. Graham has lived in the Cockatoo area for most of his life and was involved with the CFA for many years. He is interested in electronics, CFA activities and local history. It would be great to find him a volunteer to visit him once a fortnight.

The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) supports isolated and lonely people who are receiving aged care services in an aged care home or through a home care package.

The program encourages volunteers to provide friendship and companionship to older people on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
