Microbit Curriculum Developers

Creative Bytes is a charity dedicated to bridging the digital divide by providing accessible STEM education and technology resources to students across Australia, New Zealand, and the Cook Islands. Our mission is to empower young learners with the skills they need to thrive in a digital world, operating coding clubs in libraries and schools within underserved communities. We proudly partner with organisations including BHP, Paul Ramsay Foundation, Bendigo Bank, and Good Things Foundation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research on micro:bit and Lego SPIKE Prime hardware, software and accessory options
- Prototype individual lesson activities to assess engagement, difficulty and learning outcomes
- Develop a 10-week curriculum for one of the platforms, including step-by-step lesson plans for use by teachers and students
Key Selection Criteria
- Hands-on experience with educational robotics or microcontroller platforms (preferably micro:bit and/or Lego SPIKE Prime)
- Proficiency in block-based coding environments (MakeCode, Scratch)
- Strong curriculum design skills, including learning-objective alignment
- Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative.
- Reliable, creative, and enthusiastic about making a difference through technology and education.
