About the Role
Based at our welcoming Southport home, you’ll play an important role in enriching residents’ lives by supporting group activities and outings alongside our friendly team. From helping set up and pack away, to offering encouragement and joining in the fun, your presence will help create positive, memorable experiences for our residents.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who has:
- An interest in activities such as arts and crafts, bingo, games, and social events
- A kind, patient nature and genuine desire to support older people
- Strong communication skills and cultural awareness
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team
- Professionalism, respect, and an understanding of confidentiality
What’s Required
To ensure a safe and rewarding experience, volunteers will need:
- Completion of volunteer training (online and in person)
- A National Police Check (organised and paid for by us)
- Availability for one consistent 4-hour shift per week (Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm)
- Two referees
