Key Responsibilities

  • Phased Production Planning: Develop detailed timelines for 80 hours of hands-on sewing/embroidery across 40 weekly 4-hour sessions, from July 2026–June 2027.
  • Pattern Design & Cutting: Create scalable patterns for upcycling traditional garments, multicultural fusion using (sarees, batik, sarongs, abayas, vyshyvanka) into 500+ bulk items ensuring cultural sensitivity and industrial standards.
  • Training & Coordination: Guide participants in cutting, patterning, sewing, and embroidery techniques; adapt for diverse skill levels and language barriers.
  • Quality Control: Oversee bulk production, fittings, and rehearsals; ensure consistent quality for fashion show readiness.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Advanced expertise in industrial sewing machines, patternmaking, cutting, embroidery, and garment construction.
  • Proven experience managing bulk production (500+ units) and multicultural training groups.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects through detailed timeline planning, tracking milestones, managing deadlines across multiple phases, and ensuring on-time delivery while adapting to scope changes and unforeseen challenges.
  • Cultural awareness for CaLD women; English literacy support a plus.
  • Diploma/Certificate in Fashion/Textiles desirable; 3+ years relevant experience.
