COLLINGWOOD FACE TO FACE PUBLIC HOUSING CHILDREN'S TUTORS

Operation Stitches
Logo for Operation Stitches

Due to overwhelming demand of so many students, Tutors are required to assist inner-city students in:...
Prep - Grades 3 - using workbooks in group sessions. Sessions are held TUESDAYS 6pm - 7:15pm (none during school holidays) at Operation Stitches Community Centre in Collingwood, VIC 3066.

GRADE 4 - 12 - WEDNESDAY evening tutoring sessions are held 6pm - 8pm. (none during school holidays) at Operation Stitches Community Centre in Collingwood, VIC 3066. We have need of tutors who want to make a difference with these disadvantaged public housing migrant students seeking assistance in their studies due to sometimes dysfunctional family situations or poor previous education. Many of these students may drop out of the education system early if not assisted now. Many are behind in their education due to 2 years of Covid-19 school attendance restrictions. Tutoring opportunities are available for either Tuesdays, Wednesdays or both days. (different students are on these two days)

We are looking for a commitment for 2nd and/or 3rd school term periods. (April 26 to September 17)

Tutoring held at Harmsworth Community Hall, 31-33 Harmsworth Street Collingwood 3066 on a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio session.
