About Us: The Ashy Op Shop is part of Samarinda Ashburton Aged Services, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting older residents in the Ashburton area. Our wonderful team of volunteers and staff are united by a strong sense of community and a passion for providing exceptional service. Through our op shop, we make a real difference—raising funds and fostering connections within our local community.

About the Role: We’re looking for friendly, community-minded volunteers to join us as Opportunity Shop Assistants! If you enjoy meeting people, keeping busy, and making a positive impact, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing: ✨ Providing warm, helpful customer service at the front counter ✨ Helping clear donation bins and tidy the shop, especially after the weekend ✨ Giving other volunteers a hand by covering breaks ✨ Being flexible with shifts—whether mornings, afternoons, or full days on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays

About You: ✔ You have great communication and problem-solving skills ✔ You bring a mature, friendly, and professional approach to customer service ✔ You’re passionate about giving back and being part of the community ✔ You’re flexible and happy to jump in where needed

Current Volunteer Shifts Available:

• Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays
• Morning: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
• Afternoon: 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm
