The Ipswich Hospital Foundation (Australia) allows volunteers to develop their teamwork skills, represent the Foundation and/or assist staff weekly in organising IHF community events, such as Park2Park. Volunteering allows you to develop networks within the community.
Volunteers need to be reliable with good time management skills, comfortable in crowds and with speaking/directing people. You need to be willing and able to assist in the lead-up to events, as well as event bump-in and bump-out. You may be required to promote the Foundation at events as well as direct people and prospective volunteers to our website.
If you are an empathetic person and are looking to share your skills – volunteering is an ideal activity. Volunteering with friends or family is a great way to spend time together while doing something meaningful. All volunteers need to have their own travel arrangements.
