A Sound Life is Australia's first and only charity to bring free music, yoga and meditation to vulnerable people across the country. Our music and yoga program managers are looking for someone to support them in their role by volunteering their time to help with rostering, communications and general admin. A Driver Mentors’ role is to accompany the Learner Driver during driving sessions to help them attain the number of supervised driving hours required for their logbook, providing constructive feedback and conveying the importance of road safety along the way. It is important to note the young person will have some experience on the road and your role is to consolidate the driving skills learned with a professional Driving Instructor. Our Mentor Program welcomes men to be potential mentors from all backgrounds. These candidates are interviewed, screened and trained to be matched with a young man (10-16 years old). Effective mentors can be at any stage of life, have had their own unique journey through life and want to give back. Mentoring requires a commitment of 2 hours per fortnight over 2 years, an active driver's liscence and access to a car, and are likely to remain in the ACT for two years.
