Furry Friends Animal Rescue Organisation QLD (FFARQ) is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes animal welfare by providing temporary foster homes for homeless pets, adopting them to qualified homes and reducing overpopulation through the desexing of all animals. Furry Friends operates remotely, with animals being carefully placed with volunteer Foster Carers until they are adopted rather than operating a traditional shelter model.

Support needed by our State Partnerships Manager in an office-based role 1-2 days per week on an ongoing basis.
This role is for volunteers that are able to help for 1-3 days per week over 6 weeks beginning in August until September 2018. We are looking for volunteers to work a shift of 3-4 hours per day for 1-2 days per week in the City-Bay Office located at SA Athletics Stadium in Mile End.
Care Co-ordinators arrange regular scheduled visits between lonely pets and empty laps - bringing together the pets of people who work full-time but would love the company of someone during the day and pet loving seniors who can't manage a pet on an ongoing basis but would enjoy the companionship and love that a pet offers for mutually satisfying arrangements, within a regional area.
The facilitator of a pain support group (PSG) helps the group to: share their experiences of living with chronic pain, educate the group about self-management techniques and to effectively use healthcare settings. The PSG provides an avenue for people with pain to socialise with others and reduce the isolation of chronic pain. The group meets once a month for 1.5 to 2 hours.
