The Event Volunteer is the friendly and welcoming face of Genealogy SA at events and workshops both on site at the Genealogy Library and at other venues. He/she is responsible for promoting the Society as an organisation of choice in regard to family history research and membership. The role also involves assisting with the set-up for the event, such as setting out chairs, laying out brochures, meeting guests and checking registration lists as guests arrive.

The Library Reception Desk Volunteer is the friendly and welcoming face of Genealogy SA. We are excited to be expanding the Sir Donald Bradman research library collection with a donation of a significant personal collection in 2024. We are looking for someone to assist with the organisation and cataloguing of this new collection. We are also looking for assistance with the establishment of research library loan partnerships and processes within our broader library network and research librarian services on an ad-hoc basis.

We are embarking on the digitisation of a large historical collection of photographs into the museum collection. This will involve organising, scanning and saving photographs from the archives, and carefully returning to archives.
