In Queensland, Thread Together operates as a three-way partnership between Thread Together, Anglicare Southern Queensland and the Anglican Church of Southern Queensland, with a base at St Andrew’s Anglican Church Indooroopilly. Thread Together Queensland operates a “clothing hub” two mornings a week and runs a “mobile wardrobe” (modified Toyota Hi-Ace) which visits agencies around Brisbane, Logan, Gold Coast, Ipswich and the Redlands, supporting people who are doing it tough.

Community drivers use our vehicles to help people get to medical appointments, exercise sessions or shopping. Our drivers provide a door to door service for people who otherwise find it difficult to get out. We’re looking for volunteers who will commit to a regular week day gig of between 4 and 6 hours. Choose your day and then pick morning or afternoon or even both! This is easy, rewarding volunteering as people are so appreciative of the friendly lift to where they need to go.
