The Rockingham Museum is a community museum which is managed by the Rockingham District Historical Society Inc. It is committed to the collection, preservation, documentation and interpretation of the heritage of Western Australia in General, with the emphasis on the history of Rockingham District, for future education and enjoyment of the wider community. The Museum is housed in an Art Deco building, the former Rockingham Road Board Building built in 1946/47.
Fishability assists children and adults requiring support to experience the joy of fishing with the assistance from trained and experienced volunteers and by using purpose-built motorised rods, reels and fishing rod holders and providing: Organised shore, jetty and boat based fishing activities, acts in an advocacy role in promoting inclusive participation in recreational fishing. Wheelchair accessible vessels for guided river, ocean and estuary fishing trips.

Volunteer Referral Officers assist the Rockingham Volunteer Centre Coordinator with processing of incoming Volunteer Expression of Interest applications and answering incoming queries regarding volunteering opportunities.

Girl Guides WA is looking for women who are interested in supporting girls and young women to discover their potential as leaders of their world. Girl Guides meet in groups called Units, usually for about two hours a week during school term. Girl Guide Units are run by women like you, who volunteer a few hours each week. Unit Leaders deliver a fun program of what we call ‘non-formal learning’ – which means you get to introduce the girls to all sorts of exciting things.

Experience with Autism is not essential but you must be able to demonstrate a willingness to adapt as required. If you are currently studying disability, social work, youth work, community services, education, psychology, counselling, speech pathology or OT, we offer placements to complete your practicum.
