Our Recycled Clothing stores are all about "opportunity" - opportunity to discover exciting new fashion labels and pre-loved items at great prices, while raising funds to create opportunities for people with a disability. Volunteer Van Driver Off-siders are required urgently at our Beenleigh and Capalaba stores to assist with the collection of donated furniture and other household goods that can be sold in our stores which will allow us to raise vital funds for people with a disability.
Join CVA as we partner with members of Lamington Landcare Group to remove weeds growing along the upper reaches of Christmas Creek and its tributaries and plant native species to re-generate this region. By carrying out this work we envisage an increase in the abundance and spread of native plants which will create more suitable habitat for animal species.
Do you like sport, music and fundraising. Footy is back and so is the Reclink Community Cup national roadshow in Brisbane this Sunday 29th July. The theme this year is Everyday People, a fitting them as this unique event brings people from all walks of life together for a fun day of footy, community, family and music. Reclink raises funds to help provide programs for some of the community’s most disadvantaged members. If you would like to make a difference you can get involved on the day.
Do you enjoy playing indoor games? Residents from our Cooper House Aged Care Community enjoy playing indoor bowls, bobs, bocce and golf on a rotating basis once a month. They are seeking an enthusiastic volunteer to assist with the setting up and running the activity along with another volunteer. These indoor games are low impact activities that improve the fitness, coordination and confidence of residents. As well as enhancing mental well-being and community connectedness.
On Friday 20th July, DVConnect will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets to fans at Suncorp Stadium as they watch the Brisbane Broncos game. The more tickets we sell, the more money we receive to continue our life-saving work!

To provide psychosocial support and information to Young People Living with Cancer (YPLWC) through the facilitation and delivery of manualised group work content on overnight programs, on locally delivered and structured brief group work programs at set times and dates, as well as other non-manualised programs and services.
Come and join the team at Shelly, Moffat and Dicky Beach for marine debris collection to prevent harmful materials such as rope, nets and plastics from being washed into the ocean and consumed by/entangling our marine life. All debris that is collected from these activities will be recorded and the data will be provided to the Tangaroa Blue Foundation for analysis, a national database on marine debris which helps to identify source polluters.
