    Tuart Place (Supported by Volunteer Melville!)

    We are looking for volunteers to assist Monday and Wednesday Community Lunches at Tuart Place. Tuart Place provides lunch service for participants on Mondays and Wednesdays, and we require help serving and cleaning. This includes stacking the dishwasher and packing away after lunch.

  • Volunteer kitchenhand and counter service - Applecross

    Applecross Senior High School (Supported by Volunteer Melville!)

    Volunteers come on any week day from 9.30am to 2 pm to help prepare and serve food for the school’s recess and lunch breaks. Duties include food prep, dishes, general cleaning and selling and restocking food and drinks. Closed in shoes and a current Working With Children card are required and we will supply aprons and headwear.

  • Telethon Community Cinemas Volunteer 2023-24

At Telethon Community Cinemas, our profits are donated to Telethon kids’ charities who are working to help children experiencing a health or physical ability crisis. Running our outdoor cinemas would not be possible without our wonderful volunteers – and we’re always looking to expand our team!

  • Peer Support Group Facilitator

    Macular Disease Foundation Australia (supported by Volunteer Melville!)

    MDFA's Peer Support Groups provide a safe and welcoming space for people living with aged-related macular degeneration to share their stories and ask questions of their peers. The Peer Support Facilitator role is well suited to someone with good communications skills and confidence in public speaking. Ideally you will have experience facilitating a peer support group and/or demonstrate the ability to lead a balanced discussion.

  • Repair Lab Assistants

    Repair Lab Melville (Supported by Volunteer Melville!)

    Repair Lab Melville is a community event run by volunteers who use their skills to help people repair items that would otherwise be discarded and sent to landfill. Repair Lab Assistants will help set up and pack up the event, help Repair Lab Melville attendees to carry items for repair into the venue, answer general enquiries and direct attendees to repair stations.

  • Field Worker

    Wirambi Landcare (Supported by Volunteer Melville!)

    Wirambi Landcare is Western Australian not-for-profit organisation focused on increasing the awareness of our unique wildlife. Much of the work we do is out in the field weeding, planting and monitoring. We have three sites in the City of Melville which are Blue Gum Lake, Booragoon Lake and Quenda Wetland where we assist the council’s bushcrew and the friends of group in caring for these reserves.

  • Volunteer Pet Carer

    Pets of Older Persons (POOPSWA) (Supported by Volunteer Melville!)

    POOPS WA is an incorporated non-profit association staffed entirely by volunteers. Our volunteers are police-cleared and have a Working with Children Check and provide a range of services including home visits, dog walking and transport to/from vet clinics or boarding kennels. We cater specifically for people over 65 years of age – or palliative-care patients of any age – who have no relatives or friends willing or able to take responsibility for their pets in times of need.

  • Telecross Volunteer

    Australian Red Cross (Supported by Volunteer Melville!)

    The Telecross Program supports the wellbeing of older Australian’s who are isolated and at risk of accident or illness that may go unnoticed. Telecross Volunteers make calls daily to support people to live independently in their own homes, providing peace of mind and reassurance.
