Volunteer Shop Assistants assist customers by helping them find their next treasure, showing off donated items with their display skills and processing sales to aid in raising funds for Lifeline. Court users may be attending court for the first time, be unrepresented, be unfamiliar with court rules and processes, lack knowledge about what is expected of them, feel unsafe, not be able to understand and participate effectively in the court processes, and need someone to listen, provide support, and to assist them in navigating the court system.

A retired farmer who has lived a life of cattle farming and traversed the dusty roads would love some company to reduce isolation and loneliness. The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS) is a government funded program to combat social isolation and helps to develop social connections for older persons.
