We are seeking an animal care assistant to work for up to 7 hours on a regular basis providing the best of care to the sanctuary’s animals. You will work alongside our live-in animal care team. This includes, cleaning, prepping, feeding and basic health assessment. You can commit to volunteer once per week, per fortnight or per month.
Farm Animal Rescue are seeking habitat cleaning volunteers to care for some of the sanctuary’s most fragile rescued animals.
Start any date that suits, as long as we are available. Minimum stay two weeks. You work 3.5 days each week. Days are long, from dawn to dusk, but the happy smiling faces of the animals around you will make it all worth it. Duties include daily cleaning of barns and coops, feeding, health checks, light maintenance work, monitoring herd movements and intensive care of ill, old and baby animals. Extra duties may be required when new there are new rescues or infants.
We are looking for friendly people who are interested in making a difference in the lives of our community’s seniors by regularly visiting and becoming a social friend. In this particular role, a lovely lady of English heritage would enjoy you visiting for a cup of tea, a chat and a pat with her beloved dog.

Moreton Bay Region Visitor Information Centres are located across the region at Bribie, Redcliffe, Samford, Caboolture and Woodford and are open 7 days a week from 9am - 4pm. Volunteers are the welcoming ambassadors for the centres and mostly do a 4 hour shift once a week. Our volunteers enjoy promoting the Moreton Bay region and helping visitors with directions, maps, information and guides. We also offer opportunities for volunteers to be tour guides.
The Coordinator will commence as a dog reading team volunteer and after two school terms receive training to take on the Coordinator position. The Coordinator will recruit, train, support, manage and give recognition to volunteers within the region. The position will also raise awareness of the Story Dogs brand and services. This is a non paid, volunteer role. This role requires you to have a suitable dog.

The Hyland House Respite Centre in Petrie is looking for people to assist in keeping the centre’s kitchen organised and running efficiently, which helps with the smooth running of the daily programs to support older persons and people with disabilities.

This includes potting and watering plants and chatting about their upkeep. No special skills are needed, just patience and an interest in gardening.
