  2. Wildlife Restoration at East Point, McMinns Lagoon and Knuckeys Lagoon in Darwin

    Wetlands play a critical role in flood mitigation, water and carbon storage, and supporting an abundance of unique local plant and animal species. Conservation Volunteers are building a sustainable strategy for the management of this area and invite volunteers to be a part of this management with activities including weed removal, watering, tree trimming, track maintenance, tree planting, wildlife monitoring and surveys and much more.

  3. Twilight Toadbusting in Darwin

    By supporting the Frogwatch/Biowatch organisation, we aim to help reduce and control numbers of Cane Toads in the Top End. After an informative identification session we will head out to targeted breeding sites including Lee Point, East Point, Botanical Gardens and Golflinks to collect Cane Toads ready for humane disposal.   5. Bird monitoring and surveys at Fogg Dam and McMinns Lagoon

    You will have the opportunity to visit and learn about the wildlife that resides in one of Darwin's iconic Conservation Reserves. Fogg Dam provides an important food source and habitat to over 200 local and migratory bird species. Conservation Volunteers have been collecting baseline data from this lagoon of a set species list for almost two years.
