Tabulam and Templer Homes for the Aged
At Tabulam and Templer Homes for the Aged (TTHA) we have supported the community for over 50 years by offering residential and in-home care services as well as retirement living options. As a non-for-profit organisation, we have always worked with volunteers and since July 2023 we’ve connected over 100 older adults across Melbourne’s eastern and southern metro suburbs with a volunteer visitor, reducing social isolation and promoting well-being.

You and your dog can help children find the magic in becoming lifelong readers. The Coordinator and their dog will commence as a volunteer reading team and will then receive training to take on the Coordinator position. The Coordinator will recruit, train, support and give recognition to volunteers within their region. The position will also raise awareness of the Story Dogs brand and services. This is a non paid, volunteer role. This role requires you to have a suitable dog.

We are currently seeking a Social Volunteer to spend time enjoying the great outdoors and the sunshine with residents in care at HammondCare Caulfield, followed by a visit to the coffee cart for a refreshment. You'll be helping to maintain residents mobility as well as their healthy wellbeing and confidence as you take in the sights of the broader grounds. No fitness level required as this is a social outing with light paced exercise.

Spend time sitting alongside one another enjoying the challenge of completing a puzzle together, or perhaps playing simple card games, dominoes or scrabble, depending on the ability of the residents we also have an indoor golf set on site.

Coffee Please! Come and join our wonderful residents for a coffee and a chat at our onsite coffee club on a Thursday 11am-12pm. We are seeking volunteers to assist residents to and from the onsite café. This will include collecting residents from their rooms and escorting them to the café, assisting making coffees and joining residents with your own cuppa and refreshments for a chat.

Knit One Give One (KOGO)
We are seeking a volunteer with a large car who is able to be called on, on an as needed basis to deliver to suburbs including but limited to Elwood, Dandenong, Wheelers Hill and Ormond. Large bags will need to be collected from KOGO Hub located in Caulfield. This role is invaluable as its assists in distributing warm hand made items to the most vulnerable in the community.
