We are looking for ways to engage our clients within their community with either an activity, outing or home visit. Each week could be a different adventure or a simple task depending on what suits you both. Think shopping, coffee, walks or visits to a gallery museum or even a community meeting or class. Every week, an army of cooks, kitchen hands, foodies and friends arm the Meals on Wheels Kitchens. Love to cook? We could do with you. As a kitchen helper, you will be part of a team that prepares delicious meals for people who need them.
As part of the delivery team, you are on the “front line”, delivering our amazing meals out to our customers who need them. If you love a little chat, have a couple of hours in the middle of the day free and want to help out your local community, deliveries are for you! As we deliver in pairs, there are two role options, meaning you do not need to be able to drive or have use of a car to be able to deliver.
We have opportunities for Volunteer Visitors who enjoy a chat, are empathetic with good communication and listening skills and have an understanding of older people to visit people in aged care facilities or in their own homes.
The BRIGHT Walk 2024 takes place on Saturday 6 July from 4pm–9pm. 2500 people will walk through the CBD and North Adelaide, raising money for medical research at SAHMRI through sponsorships from friends and family.

Boccia SA is holding our State titles from 8th until 10th June 2024 at The Lights Community and Sports Centre. We are seeking volunteers to help us time keep games via a app on iPads. You will be taught how to do the timekeeping. Each day starts at 8:30am and finishes by 5pm. You don't need to attend the whole day or every day if you can't commit for the entire weekend and there will be vouchers for all volunteers to get something from the cafe and lunch provided. WWCC is required.
