Yandina Historic House is managed by Yandina Historical Society the members of which are all volunteers. We require volunteers to greet and serve light refreshments to the many visitors who come to visit Yandina Historical House. If you are mature, have a sense of humour, great people skills and prepared to do whatever is required, you're the person for us.

We are seeking fit, healthy and active people to join our Maintenance Team at Hoofbeats Sanctuary in Doonan.
We are seeking keen gardeners to help to create and maintain some colour in the garden and basically make the garden area feel more welcoming, relaxing and maybe even productive with some herb gardens growing beneficial herbs for the horses.
Our Hoofbeats Sanctuary is home to a number of horses and ponies. Their care is our single largest cost each year and we would very much like to offset that cost by having each horse sponsored by community members or local businesses. The Sponsorships Coordinator will find and manage sponsors so that they are engaged with the program and are happy to provide ongoing support for their chosen horse. This is a key role in our Management Team.
A team of 3-4 volunteers, under direct supervision, are responsible to carry out kitchen duties assigned by the rostered Cook in the Big Love Cafe. Daily tasks may include assisting the Cook to prepare meals for residents and guests, serving meals, and washing dishes. Some understanding or interest in Buddhism would be beneficial.
The Reception/Shop Assistant is responsible to carry out tasks assigned by the Shop Supervisor and/or Manager Customer Services. Daily tasks will include managing enquiries, bookings and sales via online, telephone and face-to-face interactions with customers and visitors. Some understanding of Buddhism or an interest in gaining knowledge in this area is desired.
Cleaning of guest accommodation, Wellbeing Centre, amenities blocks, laundering bed linen and towels.

We require a volunteer who would enjoy visiting an elderly male within his own home for1:1 social engagement to go to a local coffee shop for a cuppa. Be the heart of the recyclables team sorting and baling textiles. Be fully trained in the use of the baling machine and use your great health and fitness to fill containers for export.
We have a team of Stable Hands that cover Morning, Lunch and Afternoon shifts, 365 days a year to health check the horses and keep their paddocks clean and safe. It is vital that our horses and ponies are content and that they are treated in a calm, caring and consistent manner so that they in turn are calm and consistent in their behaviour, and can be safely used in our equine therapy programs.
A volunteer would be a welcome addition to our team to assist the president with light administrative tasks such as filing, answering phone calls, mailout of items purchased on line, and general office work
