This bushcare group is supported by Lane Cove National Park and Macquarie University. It meets on the third Saturday morning of each month and welcomes new members. We meet next on Saturday May 18. Work is along Mars Creek, a hidden gem of the Lane Cove National Park and involves removing weeds so that native plants will regenerate, improving the biodiversity of the park.

  5. Saving the iconic Nielsen Park She-Oak

Nielsen Park in Sydney's eastern suburbs is home to one of the rarest tress of Sydney. In fact, it's only known location is in Neilson Park itself, which runs alongside the heritage listed Greycliffe house and borders the iconic Sydney Harbour and Shark Beach. Working in conjunction with National Parks and Wildlife, we are helping to reduce the number of threats this unique plant faces.
