    The Volunteer Companion provides support to our frail clients who have a mobility issues or dementia whilst they are attending their medical appointments. The aim of the position is to provide companionship and assist clients with some or all of the following: Navigation of the medical centre, assistance at the medical centre reception, booking future appointments and rendezvous with ASCT or a taxi for return trip home.

    Cumberland Council’s Lifestyle and Leisure Links Program supports the physical, social and emotional well-being of young adults with a disability to enjoy mainstream pursuits such as swimming, dancing, music and sailing. It also allows for people with disability to experience fun pursuits with peers, such as dining out, going to the movies and going to live shows. Most of the Lifestyle and Leisure Links Programs happen on weeknights and weekends.
