The Digital Community Visitors Service (DCVS) is an initiative of NAC, where isolated elderly people are given call ready computer tablets and participate in a weekly video call with a volunteer “video visitor”.     The Community Visitors’ Scheme is a federally funded program, established to promote links between people living in an aged care homes or the wider community. The CVS aims to enrich the quality of life of residents of aged care homes, or their own home, who may be socially isolated or lonely, whether it be for social or cultural reasons or due to disability.     Assisting with the maintenance of the temple grounds of approximately 10 acres. The grounds have a small bushland area, areas of lawn and a small number of garden beds and trees. The gardening duties include mowing, and edging with a petrol driven whipper snipper, weeding, watering, pruning trees and bushes and planting.
