QSHBA is a volunteer-run not-for-profit group that is very active in the community. We have 4 permanent bands that perform regularly: the Queensland Mounted Infantry Historical Troop Band, the Queensland Show Band, the Bayside Youth Band and QSHBA Drum Corps. The Conservation Volunteer’s role is to assist with the preservation of the collection housed at Bankfoot House. You will work alongside a small team of employees and volunteers undertaking preventative conservation and collection management. Bankfoot House is a heritage-listed homestead at 1998 Old Gympie Road, Glass House Mountains, Sunshine Coast. It was built in 1878. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 11 December 2008.
