Support Assistant/s

QSHBA is a volunteer-run not-for-profit group that is very active in the community. We have 4 permanent bands that perform regularly: the Queensland Mounted Infantry Historical Troop Band, the Queensland Show Band, the Bayside Youth Band and QSHBA Drum Corps. With current volunteers focused on teaching and performance roles, we need 1 or more volunteers to help keep us going behind the scenes, assisting with clerical duties, band room maintenance, as well as library and asset management.

Kindergarten Activities Volunteer

We are a community kindergarten that has been operational in Caloundra for 68 years. We have 25 kindergarten aged children each day. Volunteers can assist our staff in their day by reading children stories, playing games, cooking, sharing skills (basic building), pushing children on swings. Having volunteers greatly increases the one-on-one time we are able to spend with the children.

Bankfoot House Conservation Volunteer

The Conservation Volunteer’s role is to assist with the preservation of the collection housed at Bankfoot House. You will work alongside a small team of employees and volunteers undertaking preventative conservation and collection management. Bankfoot House is a heritage-listed homestead at 1998 Old Gympie Road, Glass House Mountains, Sunshine Coast. It was built in 1878. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 11 December 2008.

Catalogue donated books and magazines, with an overall ability to time manage your role for best efficiency. Shifts require a 4 hr minimum of walking,standing and pushing of trolleys required.
