Join us at the scenic Fluerieu peninsula, where we will be carrying maintenance of planting undertaken in for the protection of the Black Glossy Cockatoo at Cape Jervis the last stop before Kangaroo Island! These days will focus on planting tree guard maintenance and weed control help protect the vegetation which will enhance the coastal communities that exist in this area and provide food for the Black Glossy Cockatoo. Any time you can spare will be hugely appreciated.

Parafield Airport hosts the last known array of vernal pools within the Adelaide metro area. What are vernal pools? They are temporary pools of water that provide habitat for distinctive plants and animals. Discovered in 2001, they were assessed to be of high wetland value, with significant flora and uncommon aquatic fauna. Prior to their discovery, they were used for agricultural practices and recreational activities - farming, grazing and even a golf driving range!

Gardening support volunteer/participants perform a range of tasks to assist in developing gardening activities that benefit both community and the Centre.Volunteers participate in community members' gardens, seed raising and salvaging garden plants for fundraising and pleasure. Tasks could include providing produce for distribution at the SNC, assist/monitor Grow Free cart, gardening bees in community members' gardens.
We seek abled bodied persons to assist with the collection of donated household goods and furniture on up to four days per week and to help deliver furniture sold at our monthly Shed sale held on the last day of each month except December when the sale is the last Saturday before Christmas.
