Or maybe you'd like to make minor repairs to a piece of furniture that comes into ReStore needing a little bit of love and attention. If so, come and volunteer at ReStore, Habitat for Humanity’s ‘op shop for building materials and furniture’ at 102 Port Road, Alberton. Open Mon-Sat 9am-4pm

    SteamRanger Heritage Railway

    SteamRanger Heritage Railway has two volunteer cleaner positions, one for its railway station at Goolwa and the other for its railway station and a cottage at Victor Harbor. The role involves washing/vacuuming floors, dusting, cleaning windows and toilet facilities. The role is a developing one and the cleaning may be undertaken by one volunteer who would be welcome to travel by train between the two locations. Cleaning at Goolwa is approximately 1.5 hours per week, preferably on Wednesdays

    We are looking for physically fit volunteers to join our team working out of Strathalbyn. Volunteers clear the track between Strathalbyn and Goolwa, tree clearing, burning off vegetation. You will also assist in maintaining the garden areas at Strathalbyn station eg whipper snipping, weed spraying etc. Workday is a Monday 8 am to 4 pm however other days will be implemented as soon a practical.

    SteamRanger Heritage Railway

    We are looking for physically fit volunteers to join our team of track maintenance workers. Team meets at Goolwa at 8 am and are transported between Victor Harbor and Mt Barker to areas of track that need work. Heavy machinery does the heavy lifting however candidates should understand that the work is of a physical nature and is for a full day - 8 am to 4 pm. Volunteers need to provide own lunch/drinks.
