The Willunga District Community Bus is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1988 by local volunteers. The Community Bus aims to help make Willunga and the surrounding districts more accessible for frail, aged or isolated members of the local community, younger people with disabilities & those who are transport disadvantaged Volunteer Drivers are needed for the community bus to pick up and support passengers to shopping centres, medical appointments etc.

The Volunteer Driver is responsible for the transportation of Beyond Blindness Members to various services offered by the organisation including social groups, bus trips and occasional medical/shopping trips and can include one-on-one social time. Volunteers are welcomed as part of the small team in the southern area. All volunteers are given training to assist blind persons. The Volunteer Driver will be required to use their own vehicle which will need to have comprehensive insurance.

Or would you like to just assist in the docking area, loading and unloading people with a disability into boats, and not do the sailing part of it? People are required to assist current volunteers, to help people with a disability to enjoy sailing in a friendly supportive environment. Help is needed to enable people with a disability to learn and develop new skills that only sailing can give them.
