As a HammondCare volunteer, you'll engage with our elderly residents to potter in the gardens, tend the plants, or water the gardens. There's no hard labour involved, just an opportunity to give back and share your love of gardening.
As a ReViVe Volunteer you will be doing something worthwhile as you provide emotional and practical support to patients on the Aged Care wards at Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick, Sydney. Volunteers receive comprehensive training and ongoing support from an experienced coordinator. Please leave a contact number so that I can chat to you.
On Wednesdays a small team of volunteers facilitate art and craft / creative activities for patients on the Aged Care Rehabilitation ward at Prince of Wales Hospital. Activities are undertaken either in a group or 1:1 at the bedside. Volunteers find they enjoy and benefit from their interactions with the patients, as much as the patients themselves.
The Prince of Wales Hospital at Randwick is on the look out for people to sing weekly with our elderly patients. This is an opportunity to do something really rewarding. Now we know this won't suit everyone - so we are only looking for those truly special individuals who want to give the gift of their time to our older patients in the Aged Care Rehabilitation ward. The ability to play an instrument would be advantageous but not necessary.
