I am looking for volunteers for a number of roles at Queen Victoria Care in 2018. If interested please contact me and we can discuss all opportunities available. The process involves a face-to-face meeting and if matched to a activity or program we would complete necessary paperwork ie Application Form, National Police Check (unless you have one that is less than 3 months old,) if not we will process) Statutory Declaration, Deed of Privacy.

The Community Garden volunteer is responsible for performing gardening duties at off-site community garden spaces. Workplace Health & Safety guidelines are to be followed and personal protective equipment will be provided.
Main Duties/Responsibilities: Stocking the Food Hub with harvested produce and donated produce. Once the hub is well stocked, then the delivery/collection boxes are filled with produce. Work in the food hub, greeting and engaging with customers and keeping a tally of customer numbers. Assist with unloading the Second Bite food delivery each Tuesday morning and division of produce into required amounts for Tuesday and Thursday stock. Assist with packing produce boxes for collection .

Gardening tasks associated with supporting the growth of Produce to the People, their valued customers, the wider community and visitors. Main Duties/Responsibilities: Water and weed vegetable gardens, Plant seedlings, Harvest produce for the food hub and/or the market. Maintain a clean and safe workplace (i.e neatly put away equipment after use; ensure garden hoses and tools are not creating a hazard for the other gardeners or visitors to the farm). Any other gardening tasks, as directed.
