  1. Volunteer Transporter - Wildlife - Frankston/Langwarrin area

    Transporters respond to calls or texts from our Wildlife Hotline team to take an animal to and from a vet clinic and/or a licensed wildlife foster carer. Transporters do not catch animals, they simply deliver the animals (between vets, carers etc.,) generally without having to handle them; they are required when the animal has been contained and needs to be transported to its destination.     Program Summary: The Overnight Hamodava Café will build upon the existing Daytime Hamodava Café operation to provide a welcoming, safe and inclusive place for men and women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in the City of Melbourne. Based at 69 Bourke Street Melbourne, the space will be open from 11pm-7am, 7 nights a week and will be staffed by 2 trained Salvation Army staff and supported by a team of 3-5 volunteers each night.

The Marketplace offers a wide selection of food and other necessities to those who need them most, as well as an opportunity for staff and trained volunteers to chat with clients about deeper needs that the person may be currently experiencing. The Marketplace operates from 9am to 1pm, Monday-Friday.
