About this opportunity

Volunteer mentors will support the student’s social skills, help to build their confidence and participate in positive learning experiences.
Volunteers are screened and will receive mentor training and support from the EdConnect Rural Liaison Officer plus will be supported by skilled teachers and staff whilst at the school.
Some of the volunteer roles available are:
* Bike maintenance (a brand new bike track is soon to be installed)
* Establishment and maintenance of kitchen garden beds
* One-on-one fun activities such as playing games and spending time outdoors
Plus, if you have any special skills or interests you would like to share please let us know – we may be able to create a role especially for you!


Additional requirements

National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.

National Police Certificate and Working with Children Check are essential.
- Must be over 18 years of age; be eligible to live and work in Australia; Provide a written application and - Provide two personal / professional references; undertake a candidate interview and complete training.

* May be arranged via the Organisation. Details to be provided on expression of interest.
Time Required

A minimum of one hour per week.
