Every person can make a difference with the Sutherland Shire Bushcare volunteering program.

This program aims to preserve & regenerate bushland on Council land. Volunteers work under the direction of the Council's Bushcare Unit - protecting indigenous flora, fauna & remnant vegetation.

The community-based program is the largest in Sydney, with more than 700 volunteers involved in caring for over 100 bushland reserves. However, they are always looking for more people to join their team.

Choose any time and day of the week that you prefer.
They accept young volunteers under age of 18.
Morning tea and afternoon tea are provided for volunteers.
