Volunteers are needed for our drives and do not have regular dayus that they assist us as our drives are April and August for sanitary items (approx 6 weeks/5 hrs per week).
November drive is "It's in the Bag" can be 4 weeks and up to 15 hours per week.
The majority of our Volunteers are what we like to call Sheroes and Heroes. A Shero or Hero is responsible for our Dignity Drives in April and August and also for being part of our "It's in the Bag" collection in November. Needing nothing more than a willingness to communicate and being prepared to manage a collection point in the Geraldton area, becoming a Shero/Hero is a great way for everyone to be involved in Sharing the Dignity. Volunteering with Share the Dignity has busy periods during our collection events and quieter times in-between. From lending a hand with collections, to providing ongoing administrative or social media support – we need Australian volunteers with all kinds of skills!
