About this opportunity

Join Conservation Volunteers Australia to start the New Year with some easy seed collecting acivities around the Cairns region, focusing on Nature Reserves and Parks to identify and collect species required for propagation for a large Wetland project we are undertaking in the FNQ region.


Mornings will be spent collecting, followed by identification, weighing and preparation/propagating in the afternoons at our local Cairns depot.

Monday, 22nd January we will be visiting local Landcare group Kuranda Envirocare at their nursery where we have a shared space, in which we will help prepare seeds , propagate and pot up native species. Morning Tea included on this day. A trip to Barron FAlls in the afternoon, weather permitting.


Discover the plants of your own backyard, learn why native species are important, and ways you can encourage native wildlife and natural environment.


Our days begin at 8am, and finish by 4pm at the latest.

This activity is free to join, and includes transport from our Cairns depot in Mooroobool to all sites.

Lunch not included - please bring your own.
