Young People Ongoing commitment Balcatta WA, Albany WA, Broome WA

About this opportunity

Cahoots provide a range of camps for children and young people across various locations in WA every year. Campers are aged 5-17 years for All Abilities, 18+ for 18+ camps and all ages for High Support camps. There are over 35 Cahoots camps running in 2018, including four weeklong High Support Camps per scheduled during the school holidays. The High Support Camps support participants one on one who have very complex medical, personal care needs and or have behavioural issues. These camps provide a fun and safe environment for participants to build friendships, self-confidence and promote social inclusion. This is also the perfect opportunity for providing much needed respite to family members.

The role of the volunteer caterer is to plan, prepare and help serve meals for the campers, Facilitators and carers for the duration of the camp. The caterer is to work within the parameters of the budget set out by Cahoots, and to cater for all dietary requirements requested by the Facilitator. The Caterer will be guided by the Facilitator or Support Leader on camps.
