About this opportunity
Our recently opened Vinnies Moorabbin shop is seeking a committed Test & Tag Volunteer who has a passion for giving back to the local community and a great eye for detail.
We greatly value all of our volunteers including those that bring specialized skills to the Society. Test and tag is practiced at our retail shops where the re-sale of second hand electrical goods raises funds for those in need.
To be able to test and tag for our shop, you would be required to:
• Complete the training the accredited course 'Conduct in-service safety testing of electrical cord connected equipment and cord assemblies' and provide a certificate/ transcript of this qualification to the Shop Manager
• Be included on our register of contractors
• Work effectively with others in a team
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
If you are available to volunteer for a minimum of 6-12 months, we would love to hear from you!
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain personal satisfaction from making a positive contribution to St Vincent de Paul Society, as well as to learn new skills and have some fun. You will also benefit from gaining experience in a professional environment.
