Are you a positive and energetic person, committed to improving lives of young people and experienced in martial art/s? Would you love to facilitate a new youth group?
New youth group program for all local young people in Auburn, starting in term 3. Group will run weekly on Thursday afternoons between 4-7pm.
Liaise with young people to plan a schedule of weekly activities for the group. This also includes teaching martial arts as one of the activities.
Supervise young people, encourage participation and a team spirit to involve all members of the group.
This role may be shared with another volunteer if there is more than one suitable applicant, therefore planning and supervising may be in collaboration with another facilitator.
Great opportunity to also learn new skills, gain experience and reference for resume.
Will suit someone who is patient, has a positive attitude and someone whom focuses on the strengths of young people. You may be studying teaching, youth work, social work or have a passion for making a difference in young people's lives.
