Studying in a skill that will be utilised with the participants in the group who have autism, i.e. coding, technology, graphic art, graphic design, education, disability, youth work. Or you may be seeking work placement for hours in a relevant field that can be integrated with weekly social support groups. High School students accepted if completing, for example, the Duke of Edinburgh Award or similar. Needing work placement, however it is only a maximum of six hours per week. Experience in Autism not essential but you must be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt as required. Drivers licence preferable but not essential.

For personal fuel expenses with outings if this is necessary
Assisting Group Leader during various activities by supervising the participants. Following directions and guidelines outlined by Group Leader, preparing materials and setting the environment for the activities and packing away, encouraging clients to interact with one another and to participate in activities. Building rapport with staff and clients. Working in accordance with Autism West policies and procedures. At times if required providing transport to outings for clients.
