Must be comfortable collecting donations.
Dementia is the second leading cause of death in Australia and there is no cure. There is estimated to be more than 425,416 Australians living with dementia. Without a major medical breakthrough, this is expected to soar to over 1 million by 2050. In 2018, dementia is estimated to cost Australia more than $15 billion. This places a huge financial burden on the community and government, as the population ages and more and more people are being diagnosed. That’s why our work – and your support – is so important.
We are looking for as many volunteers as possible to assist by joining us at Harbour Town, Gold Coast on Thursday 20th of September to collect donations on our behalf. No special skills, experience or training is required – just your presence, enthusiasm and big-heartedness! We will provide all necessary material, and there are morning, midday or afternoon volunteering shifts available. Approach your role with as much energy as you can and we’re sure you won’t fail to raise much needed awareness and funds to fight dementia - every coin makes a difference.
