  • Requirements

    Knowledge, skills and experience required

    Essential:
    Knowledge of Amnesty International and a commitment to human rights;
    Experience using social networks (e.g. Facebook, Twitter etc)
    Experience developing Social Media Strategy
    Proven record of growing social networks for an Not-for-profit organisation
    Experience in graphic design
    Familiarity with current design programs (including Canva)
    Excellent oral and written communication skills
    Attention to detail
    Experience editing text
    Willingness to respond to direction from staff and volunteers
    Ability to use initiative when required

    Desirable:
    Experience developing and implementing social media plans;
    Experience working or volunteering within a Community Organisation.

Key Responsibilities.
Organise, coordinate, promote, host and follow up Queer Adelaide Action Group events
Liaise with the Amnesty International SA/NT Branch and the SA/NT Action Centre in the coordination of strategic events Contribute to the growth of Amnesty International and the Queer Adelaide Action Group by providing opportunities for community members to become engaged as volunteers, activists, and leaders Communicate with RSVPs prior to event via email, text and making phone calls Ensure photographs of events and media release forms received from each attendee Evaluate events and work to improve processes for preparation, promotion, hosting and follow up of events Post-event communication with attendees to ensure ongoing engagement with Amnesty International
