Do you love tending to plants and being out and about in the garden?
Wesley Mission Queensland’s St Marks Aged Care Community at Chermside is currently seeking people with a keen interest in plants and gardening to assist with their upkeep and to share gardening experiences with our lovely residents.
This can include watering, weeding, planting and general maintenance of plants both inside and outside the St Marks community. St Mark’s residents who enjoy gardening may also choose to be involved, so developing friendships and encouraging residents to participate is beneficial for all involved in this activity.
Hours are available Monday to Friday, 9am till 12 noon.
Set amongst the leafy surrounds of the larger Wheller Gardens Community, St Marks encompasses the ‘homely’ feel with resident care and wellbeing playing a central part in everything they do. The spacious outdoor area is a lovely place for residents and family to gather, and provides a sensory environment for various events.
The St Marks Aged Care Community is a welcoming and rewarding place to volunteer where you will meet many wonderful people and learn new skills that may assist you both personally and professionally.
We look forward to hearing from you!
